We spent New Year’s Eve in Saigon, Vietnam. We planned to have a quiet evening near our hotel, but the owner of the hotel convinced us we should venture into the mayhem of the city’s big celebration. We had no idea what we were in for, but we had a great time with all of our new best friends!

Suhail’s video shows the post-countdown marry making. The whole thing was sponsored by Heineken (check out the event website here), which explains the heavy emphasis on green lights. It did not actually seem the revelers were drinking much, but everyone was very friendly and thrilled to wish a couple of Americans “Happy New Year!” We hope you all had a wonderful kick off to 2011 as well!
